An area of great scenic and naturalistic value. Welcome to the Bosco Solivo Reserve.
When in Borgo Ticino, the Bosco Solivo Nature Reserve can be reached through an extensive network of paths. Located to the southwest of Lake Maggiore, in the area where the lake starts to flow into the river Ticino, this area is modest in size (approx 300 hectares) but of great scenic and naturalistic value. The nature reserve is almost entirely formed by the Wurmian moraine deposits that make up the Verbano amphitheatre, shaping a gently undulating landscape.
The park is formed by a varied range of ecosystems comprising a dense area of woods and heaths and a more limited wetland, represented by small ponds and modest streams.
